Teaching is a core part of my work and source of satisfaction. It’s hard to describe the feeling when you know you’ve nailed it and students’ eyes light up in a classroom. It’s also hard to describe the feeling when you know you need to do better because it’s clear what you understand in your head is not getting across to the people in the room.

One challenge of teaching is keeping material fresh. I’m always changing and reinventing my course, even courses I have taught over and over again. It’s part of the joy of teaching. I've taught introductory courses in International Relations to hundreds of students, and intimate graduate and undergraduate seminars in Human Rights.  I've also taught Global Governance and the Politics of Organization.

If you'd like another syllabus from another course or want the latest version of these courses, please get in touch.
